Background & Education
Ed Booth is an experienced personal injury lawyer licensed in Virginia and North Carolina. Ed has been a lawyer since 2004, when he graduated from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond. Prior to law school Ed lived in Raleigh, NC and attended North Carolina State University.
Ed has always had family in Tidewater and spent time with his Uncle every summer at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. And in 2005 he moved to Tidewater and currently lives in Norfolk.
History
Ed spent the early part of his career practicing criminal law, including service as a Senior Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Virginia Beach, where he handled a variety of cases including murder trials.
After leaving the Commonwealth Attorney’s office Ed began to focus his practice on personal injury law. Including car accidents, trucking accidents, motorcycle wrecks, dog bites, slip and fall cases, bedbug bites, and medical malpractice.
Ed enjoys helping people in their time of need and finds it rewarding to guide real people through a system that can be overwhelming to someone who is typically – and understandably – unfamiliar with this process.
“You can’t alter what happened to cause an injury, but you can improve your client’s life by obtaining the maximum settlement or verdict possible.”
And Ed especially loves the courtroom. He knew, early on, that he wanted his work to be in litigation and sought out prosecution – at least in part – for that reason. Trying personal injury cases in front of juries is his passion and he has had a history of success for his clients.
Ed was focused, early, on utilizing technology to bring about the best results for his clients. And if you watch him try a case, you’ll see this – he utilizes the latest in trial technology, such as the TrialPad application for iPad, to present the jury with the trial experience they expect. He is organized and extremely comfortable on his feet in front of a jury.
